Underground Injection

Aquifer Storage & Recovery

ASR stores water underground during wet periods and recovers it during dry ones, using the aquifer itself as the reservoir. It is one of the few storage options in Florida that does not require surface land, and it is well suited to a state where the wet season delivers far more water than the dry season allows utilities to use. ASRus derived its name from this alternative water supply technology and we have been leaders in ASR since our company's inception. ASRus has a long resume of diverse ASR projects including potable, partially treated, and reclaimed water ASR systems.

Class I Injection

Class I injection wells are typically used in Florida for management of excess reclaimed water, concentrate generated from reverse-osmosis treatment, and other industrial waste streams. These wells are critical to Florida - providing a proven, safe, and cost-effective way of protecting our surface waters. Our team has experience throughout Florida in the design, permitting, and construction services of these systems.

Aquifer Recharge

Aquifer recharge can make better use of excess reclaimed water and surface waters typically discarded during the wet season, by recharging the aquifer and improving head conditions that allow this diminishing resource to be more sustainable as a water supply. ASRus is the leader in developing aquifer recharge having permitted the largest reclaimed water aquifer recharge system and surface water aquifer recharge system.

Water Supply Development & Permitting

Florida's groundwater is a valuable resource that is heavily regulated to minimize overuse. ASRus has extensive experience in water use permitting through Florida's water management districts. Our team has provided construction oversight on 100s of production wells throughout Florida.
